Mixed Chorale (MC) is an ensemble composed of sophomore, junior, and senior students and is one of two non-audition ensembles at Westlake High School that meet during the normal school day. This class is designed to meet the needs of the older, more mature voices. This ensemble performs a wide variety of choral literature, carefully selected to help these growing voices continue to mature and develop.
Mixed Chorale also participates in a show choir format during the mid-year concert, which requires dancing and movement on stage. This group participates in all public concerts held at WHS and will also be involved in at least one overnight trip most years, giving students an amazing opportunity to see other choirs from around the country. Other concerts could be added throughout the school year as well.
Note: This course fulfills the “f” requirement for the UC System.
